What's New?

Well...I'm glad you asked!

  • I will be presenting a workshop - Acting in August: Finding the Rhythm and the Blues in August Wilson's Text- at the August in August Festival at the Highland Theatre in Los Angeles on August 29th.

  • I returned to the Tony-Award winning (!!!) American Players Theatre in Spring Green, WI to serve as Voice and Text Coach for Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea - by Nathan Alan Davis, directed by the incomparable Tyrone Phillips.

  • I presented an except of my new solo performance piece SHEROES: Mothers of the Movement at the Black Theatre Network Conference in Winston Salem, NC.

  • SHEROES: Mothers of the Movement is a solo performance piece that centers the women behind—and beside—the more widely celebrated men of the Civil Rights Movement. Guided by the character of The Teacher, the piece brings to life the voices, visions, and sacrifices of women such as Rosa Parks, Fannie Lou Hamer, Shirley Chisholm, Betty Shabazz, and others whose labor, leadership, and courage sustained the movement from its roots. SHEROES will be available to bring to your school, university, church or theatre starting Summer 2027.
